Magazine & Journal Publishing Panelist for Roots. Wounds. Words.

Magazine & Journal Publishing Panel to take place as part of the RWW 2023 Winter Writers’ Retreat for Storytellers of Color. The panel will be composed of four other representatives from literary magazines, one for each genre represented at our retreat: Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry & Speculative Fiction.

A bit about RWW and the Writers’ Retreat…

RWW is a literary arts revolution committed to bringing the transformative and restorative powers of the literary arts to BIPOC storytellers. Since 2018, RWW has offered free, donation-based, and low-cost literary arts programs. Our Tribe is expansive, including 1k+ storytellers of color who also identify as poverty-born, justice-involved and -impacted, LGBTQIA2S+, disabled, and global.

From January 8th to 14th, the RWW Writers' Retreat is welcoming 46 Storytellers of Color to receive expert craft instruction in the areas of Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, and Speculative Fiction. Our faculty lineup includes Destiny Birdsong, Indrapramit Das, Chen Chen and Marcelo Hernandez Castillo. Our Faculty Emeritus include Jesmyn Ward, Daniel José Older, Morgan Jerkins, Deesha Philyaw, Elisabet Velasquez, Shruti Swamy, Jane Wong, Denne Michele Norris, Saeed Jones, Joel L. Daniels, Linda Villarosa, K-Ming Chang, and more.

The Magazine & Journal Publishing Panel is scheduled to occur Thursday, January 12th, 2023, from 3pm-4pm ET.
