Looking at the year

I’m writing from Stonecoast as I am co-teaching a workshop on mythology with Faith Adiele - a dream coming to fruition! - and thinking through the logistics of this year. I am blessed with an incredibly supportive family who will work with me to do my work in the world and while I am writing and teaching and connecting they pour all their love into my beautiful babies. I also recognize that they are also supporting me to be my full self so that I can return to them alive with the spark of who I am and that also lends itself to exponentially magnifying the love that I can offer to them. I am hoping that you have such supports in your life.

This year, some learning goals I have are to take a few workshops on library science to support archival preservation and research as I’m working on this book about my Aunt Doris, learn some Taino words and Puerto Rican history and contemporary implications while doing some ancestral reclamation work with my father’s family.
