A weekend of words, song and art

Tomorrow, I wil be reading at a West Coast-ish Salon hosted by Rashaan Meneses. I will be reading from Canticle of Idols and Boogeyman Dawn the following poems:

Hail Mary, Full of Funk

Addict

The hidden face of the moon

The pistol's confession

The owl questions with a human face

Lately I've grown accustomed

Detention in the casket

The second squirrel

This is a weekend of words, art, song. I am attending a panel on musical composition hosted by WomenSing with River of Words/ The Center for Environmental Literacy on Saturday, giving advice to a Northgate High School student on her final project, a collection of poetry on sex workers, reading my own work on Saturday and participating in the awards ceremony for finalists and grand prize winners of the River of Words contest. I know it will all enrich.
